I'm Mark Allen. I've spent 20 years building and running businesses — manufacturing, leisure, logistics, retail. I know what it's like to be the person in the building who does everything, fixes everything, and never has enough hours in the day.
A couple of years ago I started using AI to solve the operational problems I kept running into — the repetitive admin, the disconnected systems, the manual processes that relied on one person knowing where everything was. It worked. So I started doing it for other businesses too.
Right now I'm deep in a distribution company, building everything from unified operations platforms and stock reconciliation tools to customer intelligence systems and automated warranty workflows. The kind of hands-on, embedded work that actually shifts how a business runs.
Velorai is based in Cheltenham and works with SMEs across the UK. I'm not a developer who read about business in a textbook — I've run them, built them, and sold them. That means I understand the problems you're dealing with because I've had them myself.
